POPULUS ROMANUS
PROJECT
Class Goal: To create a Roman world on the
internet, consisting of a network of famous and imaginary figures from Roman
history. Each student will be
responsible for one such figure. Each
figure will have a page on the POPULUS ROMANUS site, which will feature
biographical details, personal interests, pictures, timelines, and other
information. Figures will be able to
create a bank of “friends” and can post on other figures’ pages.
There will also be a “forum” where figures
will answer questions pertaining to Roman history.
Prime Directive of POPULUS
ROMANUS: All website features, posts,
and interactions must be grounded in historical knowledge you have gained
through research, and no features, posts, or interactions should reflect the WCS
world and its relationships. It is therefore important that you not share who
you are with any other student!
